Kraft Paper Rolls: Premium 88gsm Imitation Kraft Paper
A kraft paper roll is continuous brown wrapping paper, pulled off the roll and cut to whatever length the job needs. Packaging Express supplies premium imitation kraft at 88gsm in six widths from 450mm to 1150mm. Roll lengths are 100 metres or 200 metres, depending on the width.
It is uncoated, solid brown, made from 100% recycled paper and fully recyclable. Used in retail, dispatch, removals, warehousing and craft work.
What is imitation kraft paper?
Imitation kraft is brown wrapping paper finished to look and handle like traditional kraft. Unlike traditional kraft paper, this product is made from 100% recycled paper and is sold as premium imitation kraft.
At 88gsm this is a medium to heavy duty paper rather than a thin wrapping tissue. It resists tearing in use and holds a fold, which is what matters when you are wrapping parcels that will go through a courier network.

88gsm compared with 80gsm paper and lighter weights
Weight in gsm is what separates a paper that wraps from a paper that protects. Lighter stock around 70gsm suits presentation wrapping and interleaving. 80gsm paper is the common general purpose weight, close to standard office paper, and handles light parcels.
At 88gsm this sits above both. The extra substance is what lets it take medium to heavy duty work: wrapping boxes, books and parts against scratches, and parcels that need to survive a courier network rather than a shelf.

Choosing a width and length
Width: Match it to the largest face of what you wrap, plus enough to fold over. 450mm and 500mm suit books, parts and small parcels. 600mm and 750mm cover most boxed goods. 900mm and 1150mm are for large or awkward items and for covering furniture and surfaces.
Length: 200 metres is the better value per metre and the choice for a busy bench. 100 metres suits lower volume use, or a second width you reach for occasionally.
Dispensing: The rolls have plugged cores, so they mount on a tabletop dispenser. If you are wrapping throughout the day, a dispenser can improve cutting speed and consistency.
